Email branding & custom from-address

Make booking emails feel like they're from your studio, not from Kowbi.

Every email Kowbi sends — confirmations, reminders, payment receipts, review requests — can be branded as your studio. This matters more than people think: customers trust emails from bookings@yourstudio.com way more than noreply@kowbi.io.

What's customizable

In Admin → Settings → Email Branding:

  • Logo — shown at the top of every email
  • Primary color — used for buttons and links
  • From name — e.g. "Creative Yardaz" instead of "Kowbi"
  • Reply-to address — where customer replies actually go
  • Footer text — your address, social links, fine print

Custom from address (Pro + Business)

By default, emails come from noreply@kowbi.io with your studio name. On Pro and Business plans, you can send from anything@yourdomain.com.

To set this up:

  1. Admin → Settings → Email Branding → Custom From Address
  2. Enter the address you want to send from (e.g. bookings@creativeyardaz.com)
  3. Kowbi shows you 2 DNS records to add to your domain
  4. Add them at your registrar (Namecheap, Google Domains, Cloudflare, etc.)
  5. Click Verify — should turn green within 5 minutes

Once verified, all emails from your studio send from that address. Replies go to your inbox, not ours.

What if I don't have a custom domain?

You can still set a custom reply-to without owning a domain — just point it at your Gmail/Outlook. Emails will send from noreply@kowbi.io but replies route to you.

Previewing emails

Admin → Email Preview shows every email template with your branding applied. Use this before going live — easier to catch a typo in the preview than in a customer's inbox.

Common mistakes

  • Logo too large — keep it under 200px wide so it doesn't blow out mobile inboxes
  • No reply-to set — customer replies vanish into the void
  • Forgetting to verify DNS — emails fall back to the default address until you click Verify
